About Quick Care Tahoe

Caring for you and your family.

Our commitment to you, is providing exceptional care in a compassionate friendly environment. We believe our patients deserve the best care and try to make sure you always feel welcome and at ease.

The principles of Quick Care Tahoe are Steven D. Leman MD, who is retiring after 41+ years working in the Barton Emergency Dept, and his two friends, Sean Bishop and Jonathan Raymond. Sean has imaging and network expertise, and Jonathan has the business background that compliments Steve’s clinical background. But our facility would not have been possible without the encouragement and advice of Clint Purvance, CEO of Barton, and the staff and management of Barton and Tahoe Emergency Physicians.

Thank you for allowing us the chance to serve you.

A Special Note

We also offer our greatest respects to the lifetime of contributions to SLT by Dr. Henning Mehrens. He is retired and living in San Antonio now. Tahoe Urgent Care ceased operation in the spring of 2020. The building, which was subject to flooding, has been sold to the California Tahoe Conservancy. The site will be restored and included in the Greenbelt Project.

Our Road Map

We respect tradition in the way we care for patients but stand free and unfettered of old ideas in how we conduct business. Your support and patience is appreciated as we refine processes of the business. Although ours is a work in progress, we are very proud of that progress, our mission, and our place in the community.

Initially, QCT will operate in much the same fashion as the Barton Hospital / Tahoe Emergency Physician clinics at the local ski areas—with a basic structure. Our sophisticated Experity electronic health record / practice management will be up and running by about May of 2021. We will then be essentially paperless, with state-of-the-art queuing and on-line registration. By late summer 2021 we will be fully credentialed and contracted with most major insurers.
